Have you ever noticed how things such as poverty, divorce, depression, anger, and depression seem to run in families? The world would tell us these are learned patterns of behavior. The Bible teaches us that the sins of the father can visit the third and fourth generations (Exodus 20:5).
Sin that opens the door in one generation can become a generational curse to the next. A parent can commit a sin, such as gambling, and that sin can produce a curse of debt or poverty. [Read more…]
Loss is a part of everyone’s life; no one is immune. How long one grieves that loss however, will determine whether they move forward to a season of restoration or get ensnared in a stronghold of depression.
God is not the author of the loss rather He is the one who turns the mourning to joy and brings in a garment of praise for that spirit of heaviness. His plan is to take what was meant for evil and use it as a catalyst that will propel you in a new direction, like a closed road that detours you to find another route to your destination. We just finished our first “Released to Soar” Deliverance Seminar of 2012 and if the freedom gained during this seminar is an indication of what is promised for this year, I say “Hallelujah”!

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:13-14 that the gate to destruction is wide and the road is broad. However, the gate to life (Him!) is small and the road to life is narrow. A narrow road to life is not incompatible in any way with God’s grace and mercy any more than staying on a mountain highway is restrictive!
