Where Did This Anxiety Come From?

By Phyllis Tarbox

anxiety come fromSpirits of anxiety come from hell. Their target is your Achilles heel, the chink in your armor. They aim to get a hook in your flesh to dissipate your strength and corner you in continual warfare.

The devil doesn’t need you to be anxious about the new Corona Virus or its financial impact, although that was the world-wide invitation. The anxiety released on the remnant is a more calculated assault to destroy you based upon insecurity that has gone unchecked until now. [Read more…]

Are You Preparing for Your Second Judgment?

By Don Ibbitson

second judgmentDepending on the church you attend or have read, you may not be aware that the Bible speaks of a second judgment for Christians.

It’s called the judgment seat of Christ, where every believer gives an account of deeds and words spoken (2 Cor 5:10).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad” (NIV) (emphasis added).

This is different than the first judgment, which provides condemnation for Satan, demons, and unbelievers (John 5:24, Rev 20:1-15). [Read more…]

Have You Invited a Spirit of Lust Into Your Life?

By Phyllis Tarbox

spirit lust

Have you ever said:

“Pornography is a friend I can escape with.”
“I like being seen as sexy; it gives me power.”
“Lust is my thrill, and I enjoy it.”

You have invited in a spirit of lust to squat in your soul!

Lust is the Master Manipulator

Lust creates a “rush” of adrenalin that can lure you out into illicit sexual acts or hide behind closed doors with pornography.

It drives you to do things you regret later but had no control over at the time.

Lust is anything but your friend. It’s an unquenchable spirit set on seducing you to kill, steal, and destroy your destiny. (John 10:10)

I’ve had many clients stuck in addictions to porn or lustful relationships they could not escape. Countless ministry sessions were fruitless until they broke the soul-ties with the people who first introduced lust to them and canceled the word curses that further cemented the entanglement.

Are you ready to drop this toxic relationship with a spirit of lust?

3 Simple Steps to Begin to Break the Grip of Lust in Your Life

  1. Confess and repent to God for partnering with a spirit of lust that has seduced you into compromise. Pray out loud, “Lord, I repent for embracing a spirit of lust as my friend. I ask for your forgiveness for allowing lust to distract me and become an idol that consumes my time. Today I choose to fix my focus on you and walk in your ways.”
  2. Cancel any word curses that you have spoken that have embraced lust as part of your life. Your words have the power of life and death, blessings, or curses. (Prov.18:21) Pray out loud; “I break every word curse I have spoken embracing a spirit of lust as my friend and as fun, and I cancel these assignments in the name and blood of Jesus Christ.”
  3. Break ungodly soul ties with anyone who first introduced you to lust through porn, molestation, sexual attention, actors, actresses, romance novel heroines, and any pornographic images that you have viewed.

Declare:

“Lord, I break the ungodly soul tie with (speak their names out loud). I call my soul back in the name of Jesus. Lust is not my friend. I cover myself with the blood of Jesus Christ and dispatch warrior angels to encamp around me with their shields locked. I do all this in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Deliverance may be the next essential step.

Your Thought Life: Which Mind is in Charge?

By Don Ibbitson

thought mind chargeDoes your thought life sometimes seem like a runaway freight train? Or, is it more like a boat that is sinking – you try to bail out the evil thoughts, but it’s a losing battle as more rush in?

Controlling one’s thought life rests at the center of a happy and contented life. As believers, we are encouraged to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and it can be a daunting task.

One has to dig a little, but the bible does lay out the framework of how we are made and how different minds indwell us and fight for dominance. [Read more…]

RTS Seminar Attendee Testimony: Issues with Addictions and Curses

By Don Ibbitson

testimony addictions curses

What issues were you dealing with? Be specific.

Chaos. Life’s joys and stressors were coming at me. Although I had peaceful moments, it was quickly overridden by the next event, which left me drained. I had no clear calling nor the desire and energy to figure it out. Even in life’s good moments, I was struggling for order. Turning to food as a counselor, distraction and comfort was only making matters worse.
